Madelaine Abreu is the visionary founder and CEO of Gratus Healthcare Choices, a company rooted in compassion, cultural understanding, and a mission to serve the senior community with integrity and purpose. With over 20 years of experience in business development, customer experience, and community outreach, Madelaine has built a career centered around advocacy, leadership, and service. Her inspiration to start Gratus Healthcare Choices in 2023 came from witnessing firsthand the overwhelming challenges that elderly individuals and their families face when navigating healthcare systems.
Driven by a deep commitment to give back to the community and to empower underserved populations, Madelaine created Gratus as a safe, educational, and professional space for seniors to receive guidance on Medicaid, home care, and long-term care options. Under her leadership, Gratus has become a trusted name in the Rockland County area and beyond, offering multilingual support (Hablamos su idioma), personalized education, and connections to vital case management resources.
Madelaine is known not only for her business acumen but for her unwavering compassion and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Proud to have been part of the military community as a military spouse, and holding a master’s degree in Business Administration. While living overseas, she volunteered with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society where she supported sailors and their families by providing financial budgeting assistance and teaching ‘Budget for Baby’ classes to help new parents prepare for the financial responsibilities of parenthood. Madelaine continues to lead with a spirit of service and a vision for change. She believes that all seniors deserve to age with dignity, knowledge, and the support of a community that truly cares for them.
